I avoided peeking at a certain blog until 10:45 this morning...a record for me! Lots of distractions 'til then, but when I finally was able to settle down with my bowl of cereal - yes, I eat b'fast 3 hours after waking, if I'm lucky - here is what I found:

Huh. OK. This is a change from the usual long-winded messages for various agencies that all say the same thing in many words - "NO NEWS TODAY youpoorpatheticsaps".
I think I may be able to get through the day on this one. There is enough of a glimmer of hope buried within the message to turn a cold and rainy day (seriously, it is,it's 50 and raining!) into a partly sunny one. What makes this message so appealing is that it hints, ever so slightly, at an end. I think that's all any of us delayed parents have ever wanted - a date, a time line, something to focus on, a goal towards which to shoot! As humans our brains need that! Otherwise, we are left to wonder and wander aimlessly...and no one needs that...bad things happen...just check out my previous posts!
I know that a couple of us had made paper chains with our younger kids, so that they could visualize and count-down to their siblings' court dates. Sadly, our paper chain was tossed aside and forgotten on the day we got the "bad news" call. You don't need brightly colored construction paper chains for pity parties! This latest post though, gives me hope. Guarded hope, mind you...but hope nonetheless. Perhaps there is a newer, brighter, shinier, SHORTER paper chain in our future?!?!
I believe that these dark, gloomy, rainy, bad-news, paper chain-less days have to come to an end SOON. Please oh please oh please let that latest blog post be accurate!

Still in our prayers as you have to endure this extra wait. We are praying it won't be long. I can't even describe....there are no words and I would be the same way...checking, hoping. That is what makes you a great parent!!! Lord bring these beautiful children HOME!!!!!
